    Several Death Hoaxes of Shatner

    A great disadvantage of being famous is that you face several fake news about you all around the media. The same happened to William as well. Not one or not two, the actor has been a part of several fake death hoaxes.

    The very recent one was a YouTube video, Tragic Era for a Legendary Actor: Remembering William Shatner posted in mid-March. Along with this, the video also contained a fake screenshot of CNN’s “Reliable Sources” program which read, “Actor William Shatner ‘Star Trek’ Died Today?

    Earlier this, in 2018, a post with a picture of some sponsored advertisement on Facebook said the “Beloved Sci-Fi actor found dead”. The actor got to know about the huge news through a fan who alerted him,

    “@WilliamShatner I thought you might want to know you’re dead.”

    This hadn’t been a huge issue due to which the actor stood up for himself and called out the fake news.

    The Facebook Hoax Was Dismissed By William Himself

    After the uncontrolled trending of false information about the Star Trek actor, he decided to take a standby himself. He posted a tweet approaching Facebook about the hoax and wrote;

    Hey, Facebook, isn’t this your messenger app? What’s up with you allowing this Acocet Retail Sales ad to pass your muster? Thought you were doing something about this.

    The post got immediate attention from Facebook’s director, Rob Leathern, who addressed the issue with William and the public and assured them that they had removed the ad and the page from Facebook.

    Does Shatner Have a Problem of Hearing?

    Yes, William started experiencing Tinnitus, a hearing disorder in the early 1990s. It was most probably triggered by a pyrotechnical accident that happened during the shoot of an episode of Star Trek in 1967.

    He has been facing problems in hearing for the past three decades. Shatner reported hearing ringing noises and several other noises for a long period.

    He underwent several therapy sessions for recovery for nothing could help him much. William also wore an earpiece that delivered low-level white noise to help his brain out the tinnitus in the background.

    The 92 years-old Actor Says He Does Not Have Long To Live

    William who has worked for a long in the movie industry, told his fans that he is preparing to die and is treating each day like the last one. He made the statement while on a press tour for his biographical documentary titled You Can Call Me Bill.

    What is William Shatner Doing Today?

    Although of old age, William still is unstoppable. Just a month ago, on March 22, he completed his 2023 tour in NYC. The tour was 11 days long in 11 different locations and the ticket prices ranged from $20-$87 according to the show.

    Along with this, the actor is also working as an advocate for the American Tinnitus Association and supports their efforts to raise awareness and research for hearing disorders.

    At present, the actor is living a peaceful and healthy life with proper dietary supplements and health care in Los Angeles.
